How to use the Soluble Laundry Bags

How to use Hospital PVA water soluble laundry bags

1.Place clothes in the water-soluble laundry bags

When loading clothes, please make sure to put dry clothes in the water-soluble laundry bags first.  And then put wet clothes. Or wrap wet clothes with dry clothes first and then put them in a bag. This prevents the wet clothes from touching the laundry bag for a long time, causing the bottom of the bag to tear under the action of gravity. Please do not put too much wet laundry in the water soluble laundry bag, because the water soluble laundry bag is very sensitive to moisture.

When handling contaminated clothing inside and outside the hospital, please put the water-soluble laundry bag containing contaminated clothing into another clean outer packing bag. This reduces the chance of contaminated clothing being exposed to the air if the bags puncture or tear during transport to the laundry room.

2.Tie the mouth of the bag with the plastic strip

Tie the mouth of the bag with the plastic strip attached to the water-soluble laundry bag to prevent the liquid (such as body fluid or blood) in the laundry bag from leaking out of the bag, causing environmental pollution and infection of the staff. Wrap the strip around the mouth of the bag 2-3 times.  And then tie a slipknot to tie the mouth of the bag. Because the knotting method will affect the water solubility of the water-soluble laundry bag.

3. Place the water-soluble laundry bag tied up in the mixing or drum washing machine

Please do not open the bag to sort the clothing, this is not appropriate, as contaminated clothing exposed to the air may cause cross-infection.

Stir the clothes in 65° C(175° F) water for 40 seconds before injecting detergent, alkali and other washing chemicals into the washing machine. The whole washing process takes no less than 15 minutes. Make sure the water temperature, such as type E, is at least 65° C(175° F) for no less than 10 minutes during the laundry process. (Please refer to the laundry bag model for laundry temperature).

Whether it is a cold water laundry bag or a hot water laundry bag, in the first round of cold water stirring laundry process, the cold water soluble binding strip can be quickly dissolved, so that the clothing can quickly contact the water.
